Mugerwa Paul was born on 27th September 1983 to Mr. & Mrs. Paul Mukisa Ssali of Bunamwaya - Wakiso District, Uganda. He is a financial economist with specialty in: Investment/ Wealth management; Sustainability/ ESG Frameworks & Climate Finance; Anti-Financial Crime; and, Tax & Fiscal systems. He is a scholar in financial systems and regional financial integration. He is a resource person to numerous regional and global research and training institutes that are building capacity for financial services industry, private and public sector, regulatory bodies. He has a passion in capacity building and he has extensively done assignments across the Sub-Saharan Africa (Eastern, Central and Southern Africa; Francophone West Africa) - along with development finance institutions. He is multi-lingual - speaking a couple of languages - regional and international. He is happily married to Mrs. Rebecca Nakisozi Mugerwa. He is a proud dad to Gracia, Gentil and Pearl. This publication discusses all major constituents in the financial system in a flexible order that accommodates the needs of different stakeholders: financial sector players and regulators, regional integration policymakers, training and academics, financial systems scholars, investing community, and other readers who often approach the financial system from unique perspectives. The book is quite comprehensive though analytical in approach - it majorly focuses on: Financial inclusion, Financial system development, and Regional integration.
