L’objectif de cette recherche est d’analyser la pensée de Fernando Henrique Cardoso (FHC) afin de comprendre sa vision des nations sous-développées et sa théorie de la dépendance, dans le but de saisir les conséquences de sa pensée pour le Brésil et en particulier pour la région amazonienne brésilienne. Considérant que la pénétration géographique en Amazonie et l’histoire de la région font partie intégrante du processus d’expansion du capitalisme, en raison de la forme, du rythme et du volume de l’accumulation qui s’est également produite dans les autres régions du Brésil (et en dehors de celui-ci), nous devons l’étudier de cette manière, en montrant qu’elle fait partie d’un tout. Pour ensuite comprendre les actions de Cardoso en tant que président, principalement en ce qui concerne cette région importante. En abordant la question de la fonction sociale de l’entreprise et les différentes facettes du sous-développement. Le projet a été réalisé avec le soutien du Centre de recherche sur le Pacifique et l’Amazonie (NPPA) et sous la direction du professeur Enrique Amayo Zevallos.
