Lacandidose buccale est une infection due à la croissance de colonies de Candida et à leur invasion dans les tissus de la cavité buccale, qui se produit lorsque les barrières physiques et les défenses immunitaires de l’hôte sont compromises. Compte tenu du fait que de plus en plus de personnes développent une résistance à certains médicaments, ce qui entraîne une modification de la microflore buccale, du coût et des effets secondaires que peut représenter un post-traitement par des antifongiques, la présente recherche a été proposée sur la base d’une phytothérapie utilisant des plantes naturelles telles que le matico et l’ail extrait de différents niveaux altitudinaux du Pérou, démontrant dans une étude in vitro la grande sensibilité de l’ail d’Arequipa, suivi de l’ail collecté dans la région de Puno, sur Candida albicans .(1).
