Le richieste avanzate di fronte all’insuccesso scolastico sono state rese pubbliche in tutti gli ambiti. La società si interroga sul ruolo dell’insegnante di fronte a questa realtà, per cui è essenziale riprendere lo studio della professione docente, delle sue potenzialità e delle sue pratiche, andando oltre l’analisi di senso comune che si costruisce nelle interazioni di routine nell’esercizio quotidiano delle nostre funzioni. Nella ricerca di dati analizzabili e interpretabili, questo libro vuole contribuire all’ampliamento degli studi scientifici che favoriscono la riflessione sul lavoro didattico quotidiano. Vengono affrontate alcune questioni relative al lavoro degli insegnanti: le condizioni di tale lavoro a scuola, sulla base dell’attuazione del Programma Educativo Comprensivo, evidenziando l’importanza dell’educazione interdimensionale (affettiva, cognitiva e sociale), la formazione continua, le risorse tecnologiche disponibili e l’organizzazione dei tempi e degli spazi scolastici. Si può notare che la struttura del Programma educativo globale contribuisce al lavoro degli insegnanti, perché riflettendo sul lavoro svolto, possono approfondire la conoscenza delle loro prestazioni professionali e del potenziale del lavoro da svolgere quotidianamente.
