Nietzsche and the Dance of Shiva

This brief but engaging presentation of Nietzsche’s thought by Miguel Serrano focuses mainly on the Will to Power and the Eternal Return. It is a provocative work that challenges the reader and affords us with a deeper understanding of both philosophers. In this work, the author connects the thought of Nietzsche with the Shaivite Tantric philosophy of India. Its pages contain an interesting analysis of C. G. Jung’s concept of the 'collective unconscious' in relation to Christianity, Judaism, and the Will to Power as the only honest and fundamental attempt at the transmutation of all values. These are invitations to explore deeper aspects of a man who had such a profound influence on the transformation of the world. Endowed with a poetic sensibility and a love of mystery, Serrano offers a unique and insightful perspective on Nietzsche’s ideas.
