Восточная равнинная горилла Грауэра (Gorilla beringei graueri) - один из четырех подвидов горилл в Африке. Она является эндемиком Демократической Республики Конго, и ее социальное поведение пока не изучено с научной точки зрения. Национальный парк Кахузи-Биега - одно из мест, где сохраняется этот подвид. С 1973 года здесь разрешен доступ туристов и образовательных учреждений, а также проживание семей, в том числе семьи Чиманука. В настоящее время его посещают. Мы использовали разведывательные прогулки, прямое наблюдение, сканирование и метод фокальных животных. Социальное поведение представлено двумя типами: наиболее распространенные формы поведения и эпизодические формы поведения.
