Преподавание астрономии и астробиологии предусмотрено официальными документами, такими как 'Параметры национальной учебной программы'. На практике лишь немногие специалисты в области физики обладают необходимыми знаниями для работы с подобными материалами в классе. Поэтому в данной статье представлена разработка настольной игры - ресурса, облегчающего преподавание астрономии и астробиологии и способного вовлечь молодежь в игровой процесс. Материал был разработан на основе социально-исторической теории обучения Выготского, стремясь стимулировать учащихся к обучению через непосредственное взаимодействие между игроками и игровыми механизмами, которые представляют понятия об эволюции звезд, обитаемой зоне, эволюции звездной системы и др. Цель игры - сделать планету пригодной для жизни в звездной системе, созданной игроком. Для этого планета должна находиться в обитаемой зоне звезды и иметь воду и органические компоненты. Таким образом, данный материал может стать инструментом, помогающим в процессе преподавания/обучения астрономии и астробиологии в условиях современной Бразилии.
