Ruolo delle donne elette nei PRI: Nilakkottai Panchayat Union-Uno studio condotto su un campione di 80 donne elette dai Village Panchayats e dal Nilakkottai Panchayat Union, situato nel distretto di Dindigul del Tamilnadu, in India. Lo studio analizza il contesto storico dei PRI e la partecipazione politica delle donne in India. Per raccogliere i dati primari dagli intervistati è stato adottato un programma di interviste. L’analisi ha rivelato che la consapevolezza e le conoscenze costituzionali delle donne non sono soddisfacenti. La partecipazione delle donne ai Gram Panchayat si limita a rimanere come elettrici. Alcune delle donne elette non conoscono il funzionamento dei gram panchayat. Lo studio è utile a tutte le donne leader elette per comprendere il concetto, le disposizioni, il ruolo e le responsabilità nei PRI e per il personale che lavora presso l’Ufficio amministrativo del villaggio e l’Ufficio del Taluk nell’Unione dei Panchayat di Nilakkottai.
