Este libro busca introducir al lector al horizonte de la metafísica y la antropología moral de Pseudo-Dionisio Areopagita. El autor busca destacar los principales conceptos que este importante autor del periodo patrístico ha utilizado para dar cuenta de la visión cristiana de Dios, el mundo y el hombre. Específicamente sobre el hombre, el autor busca resaltar los aportes de lo que podría llamarse la filosofía moral contenida en el Corpus Areopagiticum, vinculando sobre todo al pensamiento cristiano con el neoplatonismo, genuino lenguaje común de aquel tiempo y a partir del cual las posiciones de la filosofía y la teología cristiana adquieren mayor solidez conceptual.
